Dear Fine Art Collector:
Have you ever escaped into a painting? Have you ever looked at painting and are suddenly, instantly, taken to a place where magic is the ‘norm’ and imagination has no boundaries?
I'm one of the luckiest people on earth, because I get to watch this happen to people every day at my gallery.
My name is Forrest Michals and I am the curator for Thomas Kinkade North Star Galleries. If you’re anything like me, you have grown to appreciate great works of art and the artists who create them -- especially those with wholesome themes told with timeless stories.
I'm talking about those artists who have an uncanny and magical ability to suspend time on a piece of canvas. The ones who give the viewer full permission to ‘step in’, escape their world and enter the artist’s -- even if it's only for a moment. These are the themes that remind us of treasured moments with family and friends and retell the wonderful stories that enchanted us as children.
The World's Most Celebrated Artist
In my 20+ years of reviewing the work of hundreds of artists and watching the public's reaction to thousands of different works of art, I have found none that have the affect of Thomas Kinkade.
I don’t need to tell you about Thomas - you know him already as the ‘painter of light’ whose paintings are famous worldwide for their beautiful portrayal of wholesome themes.
If you have arrived here, then you probably already own works by Kinkade and are looking to expand your collection. Whatever your reason is, the fact that you're here tells me something about you -- quite simply, that you appreciate the power of great art to bring joy to all people's lives.
The ‘Painter of Light’ Meets Pinocchio
When I mention Disney to most people, I see it in their eyes -- they are immediately taken back to the time and place when they experienced Disneyland or Disney World for the first time, or a treasured movie such as Cinderella watched with family, or perhaps just a great Disney story told to them by a school teacher.
Rightfully so, Disney has earned a place in the American heart.
Similarly, Disney has clearly earned a place in Thomas Kinkade's heart as well through his Disney Dreams Collection. These exclusive works celebrate great moments from Walt Disney Films.
Breathe Life Into Your Living Room or Transform Your Child's
Bedroom into a ‘Wonderland’ With The Disney Dreams Collection
Kinkade himself created these paintings to be "narrative panoramas" because each painting tells the entire story of the film - in one image.
Here's what Thomas had to say about his recent work entitled ‘Pinocchio Wishes Upon a Star’:
“For this painting, we see Pinocchio upon a hillside overlooking the setting of his adventures. We see Honest John and Geppetto's workshop where Pinocchio was formed. On the right we see Pleasure Island and Monstro the whale preparing to engulf Geppetto's sailing vessel. Butterflies and sparkles lend magical accents as the Blue Fairy and Jiminy Cricket look on.”
Through our exclusive agreement with Thomas Kinkade and Disney, we can offer you these limited edition Disney Dreams prints to own and display proudly in your home.
